RCMP respond to unruly passenger on First Air flight

Rankin Inlet, Nunavut – On June 7, 2019 Rankin Inlet RCMP were dispatched to the Rankin Inlet airport to meet an inbound flight from Winnipeg, MB as the flight crew reported an unruly passenger who was causing a disturbance on the flight.

Upon arrival of the aircraft, Rankin Inlet RCMP members boarded the plane and arrested the unruly passenger who was still disrupting and causing a disturbance.

25 year old man from Chesterfield, NU has been charged with several criminal code and Aeronautics Act offenses. He appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody pending a bail hearing. His next scheduled court date is Wednesday June 12, 2019 for a bail hearing.
