Lac La Biche RCMP investigate attempted child luring in Plamondon, Alberta

Lac La Biche, Alberta – Lac La Biche RCMP are investigating a report of attempted child luring that occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m., on June 18, 2019 near 102 Avenue in Plamondon, Alberta.

Lac La Biche RCMP were notified minutes after the incident. A suspicious male wearing all black clothing, driving in a vehicle pulled over and asked a young boy if he wanted a chocolate bar. The boy ran from the suspect vehicle and the male left the area.

The suspect vehicle is described as a newer black SUV or a black pickup truck with a canopy. No further description of the suspect male is available.

Police commend the boy for refusing to approach the vehicle and for advising adults, and remind parents and caregivers of the importance of educating children about safety.
