Whitecourt RCMP investigate suspicious occurrence after suspect allegedly grabbed 13-year-old female’s arm

Whitecourt, Alberta – On June 23, 2019 Whitecourt RCMP received a complaint of a suspicious interaction between an adult male and a female youth in the town of Whitecourt.

On June 22, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 13 year old female youth was walking off Park Drive North in a field area when she was approached by a black two door GMC pickup. A short interaction occurred where she was asked if she needed a ride by the adult male driver. It was alleged the male suspect grabbed the females arm. The female fled on foot to a friends house. The vehicle was last seen heading east in the direction of the Tags Gas Station. The female was not injured.

The adult male is described as:

• Male white

• 40-50 years of age

• Red hair, red beard

• Wearing black top with grey sweats

No further information is available at this time.

The investigation is ongoing and Whitecourt RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the involved party or suspect vehicle.
