Canmore, Alberta – On June 29, 2019 at approximately 12:43 p.m. Canmore RCMP and Emergency Services arrived in the Grassi Lakes rock climbing area in response to a 911 call of a climber who had fallen approximately 35 meters.
Emergency crews located a female on scene who was tragically pronounced deceased.
Investigation continues as to the cause of the fall.
Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased at this time. The name of the deceased will not be released pending Next of Kin notification.
