Whitecourt RCMP lay charges after B & E investigations

Whitecourt, Alberta – On July 3, 2019, Whitecourt RCMP responded to a break and enter at the Canadian Tire location where numerous tools and a BB gun were stolen. On July 6th, 2019, Whitecourt RCMP responded to another break and enter, this time at First Choice Husky on Kepler Street. Cigarettes were stolen from this location.

As a result of the RCMP investigation, Cavan Watt (21) of Whitecourt was identified and charged with:

• Break and enter to a business

• Break and enter to steal a firearm

• Adult disguised with intent to commit an offence

• Theft under $5000

• Possession of methamphetamine

• Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking

Cavan Watt was held for a bail hearing and released on a recognizance to appear in Whitecourt Provincial Court on August 13, 2019.

As this matter is now before the courts no further information will be released.
