Break & Enter to Rural Residence Northeast of Athabasca with Shot Fired

Athabasca, Alberta – On July 9, 2019 at approximately 5:00 a.m., Athabasca RCMP were called out to a break and enter to a rural residence Northeast of Athabasca. The homeowner reported to hear an audible alarm coming from his garage and shop area.

When the owner went to look what was going on, he saw 3 people in a silver older ford half ton truck with rust around the wheel wells in his yard. A suspect from the vehicle saw the homeowner looking at them through the window and fired a shot at the residence which went through the wall. The suspect truck then left the area Southbound. No injuries were reported.
