RCMP investigate drowning at Drysdale Falls, Nova Scotia

Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia – At 4:37 p.m. on July 9, Colchester District RCMP responded to a call of a male who had drowned at Drysdale Falls in Tatamagouche. The 38-year-old man from Three Fathom Harbour had been swimming with family members when he went under the surface and did not come back up. A family member tried to rescue him but was not able to help.

Two members of the man’s family were rescued by the Special Hazards Response Unit (SHRU), a municipal unit that is part of the Bible Hill Fire Department. The team later recovered the body of the deceased man. The RCMP is continuing its investigation into the incident.
