Drumheller RCMP arrest male in copper wire theft

Drumheller, Alberta – On June 6, 2019 at approximately 2 am Drumheller RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter in progress at the ATCO energy east compound near Carbon Alberta.

With the assistance of the Airdrie RCMP Police dog services, a male was located in possession of a large quantity of Copper Wire and was arrested.

Brian Douglas MCHUGH, 49 of Drumheller has been charged with the following Criminal Code charges:

-Break and Enter, Theft, Mischief, Wearing a disguise with intent, Possession of break in tools, and Possession of stolen property.

MCHUGH was released by a Justice of the Peace on a recognizance with court ordered conditions. He will be appeared in Drumheller court July 19, 2019.
