UPDATE 2: Remains Found in Saddle Lake Area Confirmed to be Missing Woman, Kimberly Cardinal

St. Paul, Alberta – On June 25, 2019, human remains were located in the Saddle Lake area.

On July 24, 2019, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner positively identified the remains as Kimberly Cardinal who was last seen in Saddle Lake, Alberta on April 23, 2019.

The circumstances surrounding her death are suspicious and RCMP Major Crimes North has taken carriage of the investigation.

On May 8, 2019 a search was conducted on Saddle Lake Cree Nation involving community members with assistance of St. Paul Search and Rescue and RCMP.
The investigation continues and police are asking anyone with information on Kimberly’s whereabouts to contact the St. Paul RCMP Detachment at 780-645-8870 or call your local police.
