Airdrie, Alberta – As a result of the media release this morning, new information has lead investigators to believe this was not a hit and run. RCMP would like to speak to the driver of the grey car who may have been a witness to what occurred. Thank-you to those who have called in to assist with this investigation.
Airdrie RCMP are looking for any information which would lead to the identification of a driver who hit an elderly woman as she crossed the street.
On August 24, 2019, between 10:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., an elderly woman was crossing the street on Main Street just north of Sierra Springs (between the Shell gas station and Burger King), when she was hit by a car. The driver fled the scene without stopping to help her.
The suspect vehicle is a smaller grey car.
