Cochrane RCMP nab prowlers and drunk driver with a flat tire

Cochrane, Alberta – Shortly before 1 a.m. on September 10th, 2019, Cochrane RCMP received several reports of three prowlers near parked vehicles in Bow Meadows.

Enroute to this area, police located a 2004 Dodge Caravan driving erratically and with a flat tire. The van was stopped and the driver, a 20 year-old female resident of Morley, Alberta, was investigated for impaired driving.

In Bow Meadows, police located and arrested two adult male pedestrians who were lurking near parked vehicles. Investigation revealed evidence they were trying door handles and taking items from unlocked motor vehicles nearby. A 23 year-old male and a 25 year-old male, both residents of Morley, Alberta, were arrested and held for further investigation.

RCMP in Cochrane remind residents to secure your belongings by locking car doors and keeping valuables away from prowling eyes.
