The investigation determined that prior to police arrival the boy had been showing the gun to another male in a non-threatening manner in an effort to sell it to him.

The youth, who cannot be identified, is charged with one count of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and resisting a peace officer.

He is currently in custody awaiting a Judicial Interim Release hearing.
