Lethbridge Police investigating assault, male in critical condition

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police are investigating the assault of a 31-year-old man on Wednesday evening.

On September 11, 2019 just after 8 p.m. police and EMS responded to a report of an injured male laying on the ground near Mildred Dobbs Boulevard and Lettice Perry Road North. The male was transported to Chinook Regional Hospital and then to the Calgary Foothills Hospital in critical condition with a head injury. Following further investigation, it was determined the male had been assaulted.

On September 12, 2019 police obtained and executed a search warrant at a home along Cougar Cove North. Two males inside the residence were arrested and transported to the police station. The males have since been released without charges and the investigation is ongoing.

The 31-year-old victim remains in hospital in Calgary, but is now listed in stable condition.

No further details or information will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
