Grande Prairie RCMP on scene of collision on Highway 40 – Update #1

Grande Prairie, Alberta – At approximately 5:57 p.m. today, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 40 North of Canfor Road.

Investigation revealed that a pickup truck travelling Northbound collided head on with a Southbound pickup truck. The driver of both pickup trucks were transported to hospital with minor injuries. All possible contributing factors for this collision are being considered.

Highway 40 is now re-opened to traffic in all directions.

Grande Prairie, Alta. – Grande Prairie RCMP, along with Fire and EMS, are currently on scene of a two vehicle collision on Highway 40 North of the Canfor Road.

Motorists can expect delays as traffic will be limited to alternating single lane traffic to allow for clean-up.

An update will be provided when new information becomes available.
