Chestermere, Alberta – On September 19, 2019, RCMP began an investigation into an allegation of threats between two students at Chestermere High School.
As a result of that investigation, a 16-year-old male youth was charged with one count of uttering threats and released from custody with conditions.
The school day was not impacted as a result of the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing. Police resources remain on site at the school to continue the investigation. There is no threat to public safety and the school is operating as per normal.
RCMP treats investigations such as these very seriously and will continue to take appropriate action to ensure public safety.
