Male not seen nor heard from since planning to take canoe on Lake Minnewanka

Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing Airdrie man.

Yannick Bastien (26 yrs) of Airdrie, Alta was last seen on the evening of Sept 21, 2019. He had plans to take his canoe to Lake Minnewanka. He has not been heard from since. Banff RCMP have recovered his truck and red canoe at Lake Minnewanka but there is no sign of Yannick.

Banff RCMP are asking any recreational users in the area to please keep an eye out for anything that may help them locate Mr. Bastien. If you think you saw him in that area in the past few days, please contact the Banff RCMP.

He is described as:

• Caucasian male approximately 5 ft 7 and 175 lbs

• Brown hair, blue eyes and a scruffy beard

• Usually wears a plaid shirt and jeans
