Fort Macleod Investigate Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision on Highway 519

Fort Macleod, Alberta – (11:16 AM) On October 4th, 2019 at approximately 4:30 am the Fort Macleod RCMP were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 519 between Highway 23 and Highway 2. A Sports Utility Vehicle was driving eastbound and collided with a westbound semi truck.

The 31 year old female driver of the SUV was deceased at the collision scene. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.

The RCMP Collision Analyst is currently at the scene of the collision. Highway 519 has been closed as a result of this collision and traffic will be rerouted onto Highway 23, Highway 2, and Secondary Highway 519 for the next couple of hours.
