Calgary Police investigating suspicious death in McKenzie Lake

Calgary, Alberta – The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is currently investigating a suspicious death that occurred overnight in southeast Calgary.

Just before midnight, on Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, police were called to the 100 block of Mt Aberdeen Manor S.E., for reports of a man in medical distress laying in the street. Officers responded with members of EMS, however the man died on scene.

An autopsy has been scheduled by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for today, Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019.

Investigators are in the process of speaking to witnesses and collecting CCTV.

As it is early in the investigation, no further details will be released.
