Man arrested for luring children for sexual purpose

Spruce Grove, Alberta – On September 17, 2019 the Parkland RCMP became involved in a child exploitation investigation which spanned a period of time between October, 2015 and September, 2019. During this time, a number of youth were victimized to varying degrees.

As a result of the investigation, 39 year old Matthew Kenneth Erickson has been charged with a number of offences which include: four counts of Luring a Child, three counts of Sexual Interference, two counts of Making Child Pornography and one count of Sexual Assault. Erickson was released on a $3000.00 no-cash Recognizance with a number of strict conditions that includes no contact with the victims or anyone under 16 years of age. He is set to appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on October 30, 2019.
