Selkirk RCMP arrest two males in violent robbery

Selkirk, Manitoba – On October 28, 2019, at approximately 10:40 am, RCMP responded to a violent assault in a parking lot on Manitoba Avenue in Selkirk.

RCMP received several 911 calls advising that a truck had stopped in the parking lot, two male suspects exited, grabbed a third male from inside the truck, and were violently assaulting him.

The two suspects then left the male victim on the ground and fled in the truck. Witnesses at the scene told officers that the truck had a blown rear tire and it was driving on the rim.

Officers located the vehicle a few blocks from the scene. The two males were in the process of changing the tire when they were arrested.

Nolan Walker, 22, and Tyson Parker, 20, both from Selkirk, were arrested and charged with several offences including Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Robbery.

The victim, an 18-year-old male from Selkirk was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation has determined that all three individuals were known to one another.
