London man arrested after a police officer was lunged at with a knife.

London, Ontario – A 43-year-old London man is in custody after a London police officer was lunged at with a knife.

At approximately 9:15 a.m. today, officers went to a Beckworth Avenue address to arrest a suspect on behalf of another police service.

Upon arrival, a man at the residence lunged at one of the police officers with a knife. The officer deployed his conductive-energy weapon (CEW), and the man was arrested.

London paramedics were called as a result of the CEW being deployed. The man was cleared medically and transported to cells.

A knife was recovered.

The officers did not sustain any injuries.
