Cochrane RCMP arrest property thieves targeting local business

Cochrane, Alberta – On Friday, November 8th, 2019, RCMP in Cochrane were alerted to a theft from a downtown business. Police responded and were able to track the suspects into Calgary, locating them at a storage facility. Two adult males, both known to police, were arrested and the property was recovered.

Arrested were a 37 year-old male resident of Calgary, Alberta and a 44 year-old male resident of no fixed address but formerly of Calgary, Alberta. Both suspects were subject to court imposed release conditions at the time of their arrest.

Cochrane Crime Reduction Unit has been coordinating a response to rural and urban property crimes, and in this case identified thieves who have been active in property crime. Further investigation is currently being conducted and the names of the accused will be released with further details in a subsequent release.
