Nova Scotia RCMP Member accused of Sexual Assault, RCMP refers matter to SiRT

Dartmouth, Nova Scotia – Northeast Nova District RCMP has referred an investigation into a sexual assault to the Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT).

On November 6, the RCMP was advised of an alleged sexual assault of a woman by a member of Northeast Nova District RCMP. In accordance with the Police Act, the RCMP contacted SiRT to assume the investigation into the assault.

Given the matter has been referred to SiRT, the RCMP is unable to offer additional information about the incident.
