Male Charged in Five Recent Break & Enter Incidents: Regina Police Service

Regina, Saskatchewan – A 28 year-old male is facing a dozen charges in connection with five recent business Break and Enter incidents in downtown Regina.

During the week of November 5-11, the Regina Police Service received reports of Break and Enters to a number of downtown businesses. These are:

5th – business in the 1800 block of Hamilton Street,

5-6th – business in the 1900 block Broad Street,

7-8th – business in the 1900 block of Broad Street,

11th – business in the 2100 block Broad Street,

11th – business in the 1800 block of Broad Street.

The evening of November 13, 2019, a team of Patrol members, working with Street Crimes investigators, located a male exiting a business in the area of 14th Avenue and Broad Street. The male matched the description of the suspect in one of the recent Break and Enter cases. The male was detained and found to have a hatchet concealed on his person. He was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon. Further investigation led to evidence linked to recent Break and Enter incidents. The male was subsequently charged.

Twenty-eight year-old Tyson Randal LEDOUX, of no fixed address, Regina, is charged with:

4 X Break and Enter and Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC];

Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence [348(1)(a) CC];

2 X Wearing Disguise in the Commission of Offence [351(2) CC];

Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime [355.2 CC];

Carry Concealed Weapon [90(1) CC];

Possession of Break and Enter Tools [351(1) CC]; and

2 X Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000 [355(b) CC].

LEDOUX made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9;30 a.m. today (Thursday), November 14, 2019.
