Wollaston Lake RCMP – Alcohol seizure leads to charges; “intoxicated passengers on a commercial flight”

Wollaston Lake, Saskatchewan – On Nov. 14, 2019, Wollaston Lake RCMP responded to the report of intoxicated passengers on a commercial flight travelling to Wollaston Lake, SK.

Two adult males on the plane were arrested under The Alcohol and Gaming Act of Saskatchewan for being intoxicated.

The males were found carrying several bottles of alcohol hidden under their clothing and in their luggage. In total, 18 – 750 ml bottles of whiskey and vodka, 8-710 ml bottles of soda full with whiskey, and one water bottle mixed with whiskey were seized.

The males were taken into custody and were released once sober.

Both adult males from Wollaston Lake have been charged under the Alcohol and Gaming Act of Saskatchewan, Section 138(1).
