Edson, Alberta – On Oct. 26, 2019, Edson RCMP General Investigations Section and General duty members executed a search warrant at a residence in Edson.
During the search police seized items, including: methamphetamine, cocaine, a small amount of Fentanyl, a .22 caliber rifle, a .223 carbine rifle, a prohibited firearm magazine, various rounds of ammunition, and over $3000 in cash.
Larry Desjarlais, a 40-year-old male from Edson, was charged with:
• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Possession of a controlled substance
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Possession of a weapon contrary to order
• Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon
Desjarlais continues to remain in custody and is scheduled to appear in Edson Provincial Court on Dec. 3, 2019.
