Grande Prairie, Alberta – In the fall of 2019 Grande Prairie RCMP received information that there was stolen property, including firearms, at a residence in the city. After completing an investigation Grande Prairie RCMP executed a search warrant on November 29, 2019.
Once in the residence police located a rifle, a large amount of assorted calibres of ammunition and 20.8 grams of methamphetamine. In a detached garage police seized another rifle and 3 bicycles. A third rifle was located in a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence.
Jody Macdonald (46) of Grande Prairie, was arrested in the residence without incident and is facing the following charges:
Unauthorized possession of a firearm x 3
Possession of a stolne firearm
Unsafe storage of firearms/ammunition
Possession of stolen property under $5000
Possession of a controlled substance

Macdonald is to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial court on December 4, 2019.
