61-Year-Old Female Robbed in Parking Lot: Portage la Prairie RCMP

Portage la Prairie , Manitoba – On January 9, 2020, RCMP received a report of an attempted robbery that occurred in the parking lot of a financial institution on Saskatchewan Avenue East, in Portage la Prairie, at 8:00 pm that evening.

The victim, a 61-year-old female, was walking to her vehicle when a male approached her and demanded money. The victim refused and the suspect held up his hands as if he was aiming a pistol at her, however, no weapon was seen. The suspect continued to demand money, but eventually left, empty-handed.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’8″, larger build, wearing a dark coloured winter coat with a hood.
