UPDATE: Warrants issued in high-value liquor thefts

Calgary, Alberta – Following a plea to the public, the Calgary Police Service has identified and issued warrants for two individuals believed to be responsible for several high-value liquor thefts in Calgary.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, police released photos of a man and woman believed to be involved in at least six liquor store thefts that occurred across Calgary throughout December 2019. In each incident, a man and a woman entered the store and removed high-value bottles of scotch or whiskey without paying for them.

Following the media release, investigators received information from the public that led to the identification of both suspects.

As a result, police have issued warrants for Garion Ronald James DELDAY (also known as Garrion TYE), 29, and Shannon Delanie WRIGHT, 23, both of Calgary. DELDAY and WRIGHT are charged with theft under $5,000.

Garion Ronald James DELDAY is described as 5’11” tall, 160 pounds, with a slim build, blond hair and blue eyes. DELDAY has tattoos on the right side of his neck, right upper arm and a birthmark on his left wrist.

Shannon Delanie WRIGHT is described as 5’5”, 140 pounds, with a slim build, black hair and blue eyes. WRIGHT has a tattoo on her left shoulder.
