Assaults/Robberies – 400 Block 22nd Street Weest/300 Block 3rd Avenue North: Saskatoon Police

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Three youth are facing charges following two incidents of robbery and assault over the weekend.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., February 1, 2020, Police were called to a report of a large group of teens causing a disturbance inside a restaurant in the 400 block of 22nd Street East. Upon arrival the officer located three women, ages 17 and 18 who reported being assaulted and robbed by the group. Two of the women suffered minor injuries. As the first incident was being investigated Police received a report of another assault and robbery, also involving a large group of youth. The 22 year old male victim reported being approached by the youth while he was walking in the 300 block of 3rd Avenue. They demanded money before punching him repeatedly and stealing his cell phone.

Several members of the group were located by officers. Two girls ages 12 and 14 are charged with assault and robbery in connection with the first incident. The 14 year old is also charged with assault and robbery in the second incident. A third youth, a 14 year old male was also charged with breach of court conditions.
