Airdrie RCMP investigate an armed robbery

Airdrie, Alberta – Airdrie RCMP are seeking public assistance in identifying a male and a female linked to a vehicle used in an armed robbery.

On January 31, 2020, at 3:30 a.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to a break and enter at a car dealership. A male suspect can be seen on video surveillance leaving the dealership.

On January 31, 2020, at 4:50 p.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to another incident at the same car dealership. A male suspect attempted to steal a car and when dealership employees intervened, the suspect pointed a firearm at them. The suspect was picked up from the scene by a second suspect driving a black Ford Flex bearing Alberta license plate YSC 101, which had been reported stolen.

On February 2, 2020, at 3:15 a.m., Airdrie RCMP located the same Ford Flex and it was pursued into Calgary. Prior to the pursuit, a female passenger was caught on a business video surveillance system.
