Olds RCMP seize stolen property during execution of search warrant

Olds, Alberta – On Friday, February 14, 2020, members of Olds RCMP and Southern Alberta Auto Theft unit executed a search warrant at a rural residence east of Olds, Alta. This search warrant resulted in the seizure of 2 stolen Ford F250 pickup trucks, 1 stolen Ford F350 pickup truck, 2 snowmobiles where the vin numbers were altered, a printer believed to be used in fabrication of vin numbers and stolen property from a previously reported break and enter to an Olds business in October 2019.

As a result of the investigation, Kevin Raymond Leischner (48 yrs) of Mountain View County, Alta., was arrested and has been charged with the following:

• Possession of stolen property obtained by crime over $5000. (x3)

• Possession of stolen property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5000. (x2)

Following a judicial hearing Leischner was released on a $1,500 no cash deposit to appear in Didsbury Provincial Court February 24, 2020.
