St. Albert RCMP respond to fatal collision on Ray Gibbon Drive

St. Albert, Alberta – This afternoon at approximately 2:40 p.m., St. Albert RCMP, Fire and EMS responded to a two vehicle collision north of the intersection of Ray Gibbon Drive and McKenney Avenue.

A head-on collision occurred between two trucks on Ray Gibbon Drive. A 86-year-old male occupant of a southbound truck from St. Albert was declared deceased on scene. The female occupant of the southbound truck and a lone male occupant of the northbound truck were taken to hospital with serious life threatening injuries.

St. Albert RCMP along with a RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate.

Traffic along Ray Gibbon Drive between Giroux Road and McKenney Avenue will be rerouted for several hours due to the investigation.
