Whitecourt RCMP arrest and charge rural trespasser

Whitecourt, Alberta – On Feb. 29, 2020, Whitecourt RCMP received a call of a male on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) trespassing on private property in Woodlands County, Alta.

Whitecourt RCMP located the male operating the ATV and he initially fled from police, but was quickly taken into custody.

Further investigation resulted in the male, Dean Taylor (20) of Whitecourt, Alta., facing the following charges:

• Break and enter to a dwelling house

• Flight from police

• Possess break-in instruments

• Drive a motor vehicle while unauthorized

• Fail to comply with probation order

• Fail to comply with release conditions (x6)

Following a judicial hearing, Taylor was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Whitecourt Provincial Court on March 10, 2020.
