Beaverlodge RCMP investigate multiple collisions and warn of poor winter driving conditions

Beaverlodge, Alberta – On March 6, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., Beaverlodge RCMP received a call of a single vehicle towing a trailer went off the road in the area of Hwy 43 and Secondary Hwy 671 near Hythe, Alta.

While police were on scene, a three vehicle collision occurred in the same area. There are no injuries to any of the persons involved in these collisions. Separately, a semi-tractor is partially off-road near that location and is blocking traffic. Beaverlodge RCMP are investigating both collisions and remain on scene.

Traffic on Hwy 43 near the intersection of Secondary Hwy 671 will remain restricted to one lane until the vehicles are removed.

Beaverlodge RCMP would like to warn motorists of icy, snow covered roads and reduced visibility due to blowing snow. Motorists are asked to avoid any unnecessary travel.
