UPDATE: Toronto AMBER ALERT – Shammah Jolayemi, 14 – LOCATED

Toronto, Ontario – On Friday, March 6, 2020, at 10 a.m., Chief Mark Saunders held a news conference at police headquarters, in the media gallery, to address the community and media regarding the recent abduction investigation of a 14-year-old boy.

BACKGROUND

Toronto, Ontario – An Amber Alert has been issued to help find a 14-year-old boy who officers believe may have been abducted.

Shammah Jolayemi, 14, was last seen on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 8:25 a.m., in the Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue area.

It is reported:

– a vehicle of interest was seen in the Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue area around the same time the boy was last seen

– the vehicle is described as dark coloured, possibly a black Jeep Wrangler with oversized tires, a front-mounted brush bar and round fog lights

Shammah is described as 5’11” to 6’ tall, slim build, with short dark brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweater, grey track pants with a thin orange stripe on the pants, a shiny black puffy winter coat, black and yellow air Jordan shoes and may have been carrying a red and black Adidas back pack.

Police are extremely concerned for his safety and urge anyone who recognizes him, or has any information about his whereabouts, to contact officers.

If anyone sees Shammah they should immediately call police on 9-1-1.

Officers also want to speak to the boy’s step-brother Olalekan Osikoya and encourage him to contact police.
