Innisfail RCMP respond to a report of a break in to a lease site, arrest two

Red Deer County, Alberta – On Saturday March 28, 2020 at 930 am Innisfail RCMP received a call of a break in to an oil lease site. Two individuals were wearing masks and broke into an oil lease site and a Sea Can stealing undisclosed items. Both individuals fled the scene in a blue Chrysler 200.

The complainant had observed these two individuals and continued to provide detailed updates to police which assisted them in locating the Chrysler rather quickly. RCMP attempted to pull over the Chrysler, however it fled from police at a high rate of speed. RCMP activated a tire deflation device which was successful in flattening some tires. The vehicle slowly came to a stop and both occupants were arrested without incident.

The Innisfail RCMP would like to thank the member of the public who observed a crime in progress and reported it to police immediately. This person was instrumental in this duo being caught by police.

Jason Burns (27 yrs) of Sundre was charged with:

• Break and Enter

• Disguise with intent

• Flight from police

• Possession of break in tools

• Fail to comply with a release order

• Drive without valid licence

• Drive with a plate not attached

BURNS was held for a bail hearing and released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court June 10,2020

Stacey GOW (46 yrs) of Olds was charged with:

• Break and Enter

• Disguise with intent

• Possession of break in tools

• Fail to comply with a release order X2

GOW was also held for a bail hearing and was released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court Jun 10, 2020.
