Kitscoty, Alberta – On March 26, 2020 at approximately 4:50 p.m., Kitscoty RCMP responded to a report that a truck had been stolen out of the City of Lloydminster and was travelling northbound out of the city.
A Kitscoty RCMP member observed the stolen truck turn down a dead end road off Township Road 510 and an occupant of the vehicle flee on foot. With the assistance of Lloydminster RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services, the male suspect who had fled the stolen truck was located and taken into custody. An additional male that was located in the area when members first arrived was also arrested.
Ashley Allen Cadrain (37) of Lloydminster, Alta., and Trevor Tessmer (40) of Blackfoot, Alta., were each charged with possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5000.
Cadrain was additionally charged with possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5000 and failure to comply with a release order. Cadrain and Tessmer were released from custody. Cadrain is scheduled to appear in Vermilion Provincial Court on June 15, 2020 and Tessmer is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on July 28, 2020.
