Innisfail RCMP arrest three east of Penhold and seize prohibited firearm, methamphetamine, and stolen property

Innisfail, Alberta – On April 13, 2020, the Innisfail RCMP were dispatched to a break and enter in progress at the Horn Hill waste transfer station. RCMP responded immediately and arrested three suspects on scene in relation to the break and enter and possession of a stolen Ford F-350. A search of the stolen vehicle revealed a loaded, sawed-off shotgun, a substance believed to be methamphetamine, and a significant quantity of stolen property.

Conner Mueller (27) of Red Deer, Alta has been charged with:

• S. 348(1)(b) Criminal Code – Breaking and entering with intent;

• S. 355(a) Criminal Code – Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;

• S. 355(b) Criminal Code – Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x4);

• S. 351(1) Criminal Code – Possession of break-in instruments;

• S. 86(1) Criminal Code – Transport a firearm in a careless manner;

• S. 88(1) Criminal Code – Possession of bear spray for a dangerous purpose;

• S. 91(2) Criminal Code – Possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence;

• S. 92(1) Criminal Code – Possession of an unregistered prohibited weapon;

• S. 94(1) Criminal Code – Possession of a prohibited weapon in a motor vehicle;

• S. 95(1) Criminal Code – Possession of a loaded prohibited weapon;

• S. 108(1)(b) Criminal Code – Possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number;

• S. 117.01(1) Criminal Code – Possession of a firearm contrary to an order (x3);

• S. 129(a) Criminal Code – Obstruct a peace officer (x2)

• S. 4(1) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act – Possession of methamphetamine (x2).

Mac Smith (37) of Edmonton, Alta has been charged with:

• S. 145(5)(a) Criminal Code – Fail to comply with release order (x5);

• S. 733.1(1) Criminal Code – Breach of probation (x2);

• S. 348(1)(b) Criminal Code – Breaking and entering with intent;

• S. 355(a) Criminal Code – Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;

• S. 355(b) Criminal Code – Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x3);

• S. 351(1) Criminal Code – Possession of break-in instruments;

• S. 86(1) Criminal Code – Transport a firearm in a careless manner;

• S. 88(1) Criminal Code – Possession of bear spray for a dangerous purpose;

• S. 91(2) Criminal Code – Possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence;

• S. 92(1) Criminal Code – Possession of an unregistered prohibited weapon;

• S. 355(b) Criminal Code – Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x3);

• S. 351(1) Criminal Code – Possession of break-in instruments;

• S. 86(1) Criminal Code – Transport a firearm in a careless manner;

• S. 88(1) Criminal Code – Possession of bear spray for a dangerous purpose;

Mueller has been remanded into custody to appear in court April 20, 2020;

Smith has been remanded into custody to appear in court April 15, 2020;

Fedyk has been released with conditions by a Justice of the Peace.
