Lethbridge Police charge second male in connection with murder

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Police have charged a second male with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a 43-year-old man last week.

On April 27, 2020 at approximately 6:55 a.m. police responded to a report of an injured male at an apartment building along the 1200 block of 4 Avenue South. Police and EMS attended and located a deceased 43-year-old male inside one of the units. Investigation by members of the Criminal Investigation Section determined that during the evening of April 26, 2020, the male had been inside his apartment socializing with acquaintances when a physical altercation ensued, resulting in the victim sustaining fatal injuries. When a friend attended the victim’s apartment the following day they found him unresponsive and called for help.

Police subsequently identified two suspects. The first, a 27-year-old male, was arrested May 1. The second, a 33-year-old male was arrested May 5 without incident.

Justin Robert Adel White Cow, 33, of Lethbridge, is charged with second degree murder. He and his co-accused, Jason Paul James Crane Chief, 27, of Lethbridge, both remain in custody. They will appear in court May 11, 2020 for a bail hearing.

Police are not seeking any additional suspects in relation to this matter.
