Iqaluit man charged under Cannabis Act

Iqaluit, Nunavut – On May 1, 2020, the Iqaluit RCMP initiated an investigation into allegations of drug trafficking outside a local store. During the course of the investigation, 30-year-old Tommy Kilabuk of Iqaluit, NU was arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis for the purpose of selling – Section 10(2) Cannabis Act and Sale of Cannabis to adult – Section 10(1)(a) Cannabis Act. Kilabuk was released from Police custody and his next scheduled court date is on June 10, 2020 in Iqaluit,NU.
