Wood Buffalo RCMP: Seek Assistance Locating a Missing 24-Year-Old Male – LOCATED

Fort McMurray, Alberta – Kane William O’Brien has been located and is safe. Wood Buffalo RCMP would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in sharing information to assist in finding people who are reported missing.

BACKGROUND

Fort McMurray, Alberta – On May 14, 2020 at 4:30 p.m., Wood Buffalo RCMP received report of a missing adult male, Kane William O’Brien. Wood Buffalo RCMP have been in contact with Kane’s family and have been unable to locate him. Kane was last known to be in the Fort McMurray area on May 9, 2020, in Eagle Ridge.

Kane’s clothing description is unknown. However, it is believed Kane is carrying a lime-green backpack and is travelling on foot. Wood Buffalo RCMP are asking the public not to approach Kane, but to call police to advise of the location if Kane is seen.

Kane William O’Brien is described as:

• A Caucasian male

• 24-years old

• Height: 6’0”

• Weight: 200 lbs

• Eyes: Blue

• Hair: Brown, shoulder length

• Tattoos: left chest is large cat, left arm is a full sleeve, and others.
