Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit South: asking for the public’s assistance with homicide investigation

North Battleford, Saskatchewan – On May 16, 2020, Battleford RCMP received a report a deceased adult male located in the backyard of a property in the 1500 block of 105th Street in North Battleford, SK.

Officers attended to the property and determined the deceased male was 20-year-old Damian Moosomin of North Battleford, SK who was reported missing to police on May 11, 2020 (original media release included below).

The death appeared suspicious in nature and Battleford RCMP requested assistance from the RCMP Major Crime Unit – South. Investigators have determined Damian Moosomin is a victim of a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday in Regina.

Investigators believe there may be individuals who have crucial information or evidence that can help police determine the circumstances that led to Damian Moosomin’s murder.

Background

North Battleford RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 20-year-old Damian Moosomin from North Battleford, who was reported missing on May 11, 2020.

Damian last communicated with family on April 24, 2020 through Social Media and has not been heard from since. Family and friends are concerned for his well being as this is unlike Damien not to be in contact with them.

Damian Moosomin is described as 5 ft 6 in height, 150 lbs in weight, with black hair and brown eyes. He has a couple tattoos.
