Toronto Police looking for persons who had contact with Homicide victim #29 for 2020

Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a Homicide Investigation.

On Saturday, May 16, 2020, at approximately 6:28 p.m. police responded to a call for a fire at 31 Gilder Drive, Toronto.

It is reported that:

– a man was located deceased inside the apartment

– his death was treated as suspicious

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, the post-mortem was completed and the death was determined to be a homicide. The Homicide Squad have taken carriage of this investigation.

The deceased man has been identified as Jomo Hendricks, 58, of Toronto.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who has had contact with Jomo in the days leading up to his death.
