Fox Lake RCMP actively trying to apprehend Rick Seeseequon – ARRESTED

Little Red River Cree Nation, Alta. – On May 22, 2020, at approximately 1 p.m., Fox Lake RCMP, with the assistance of Fort Vermilion and High Level RCMP, took Rick Seeseequon into custody without incident. Seeseequon remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.

The victim of the assault remains in hospital in Edmonton.

The Fox Lake RCMP would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

BACKGROUND

Little Red River Cree Nation, Alberta – The RCMP are currently trying to locate Rick Alexander Seeseequon (26) who is evading police and might be armed and dangerous.

At 12:00 p.m. today, the RCMP responded to a serious assault and determined that Seeseequon is believed to be involved. The victim of the assault is receiving medical care and Seeseequon was seen to flee the area on a red and green quad. RCMP members believe that he is in possession of a firearm.

Seeseequon is currently wanted on outstanding arrest warrants out of Fox Lake, Alberta.

Additional RCMP members, including Police Dog Services, are being deployed to assist in the search for Seeseequon.

The citizens of the Little Red River Cree Nation in the community of Fox Lake are warned to avoid contact with Rick Seeseequon and to call 780-659-2080 if he is spotted.
