Brooks RCMP and Emergency Services respond to unresponsive male and female; “Both individuals were unresponsive and the male had obvious injuries to his head”

Brooks, Alberta – On May 22, 2020 at approximately 6:00am, the Brooks RCMP along with the Brooks Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of two individuals found in and beside a brown coloured Buick LeSabre car in a parking lot of a business in the Boswell Industrial park North of Brooks Alberta.

Both individuals were unresponsive and the male had obvious injuries to his head. Due to their medical conditions, both the male and female were transported to the Brooks Health Centre via ground ambulance. The male was then airlifted to a Calgary Hospital via STARS Air Ambulance and the female was airlifted to the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital via HALO Air Ambulance; both were deemed to be in serious but stable condition.

The Brooks RCMP continue to investigate this matter and are requesting any individuals who may have knowledge of what occurred or may have witnessed the event on the morning of May 22, 2020 at approximately 6:00am to call the Brooks RCMP at 403.794.4400. The Brooks RCMP would also like to stress to the community that at this time they are not looking for anymore individuals involved in this incident and there is no risk to the public. No further information will be released by the Brooks RCMP Detachment.
