UPDATE: Two Youths Surrender to Toronto Police, Charged with First Degree Murder

Toronto, Ontario – The Toronto Police Service would like to update the the public on a homicide investigation.

On Thursday, May 14, at 7:42 p.m., police responded to a radio call for the sound of multiple gunshots in the Panorama Court and Kipling Avenue area.

It is alleged:

– police arrived on scene and found a man in a tow truck suffering from gunshot wounds

– the man was pronounced deceased at the scene

– a second man was also found suffering from gunshot wounds, and was taken to the hospital in a life-threatening condition

On Thursday, May 21, 2020, two young males, 15 and 17, surrendered to police at 23 Division. Both have been charged with:

1. First Degree Murder

2. Attempt Murder

Both are scheduled to appear in court at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, May 22, 2020, 10 a.m., room 204.

The Toronto Police Service would like to make the public aware of a homicide investigation.

On Thursday, May 14, at 7:42 p.m., police responded to a radio call for the sound of multiple gunshots in the Panorama Court and Kipling Avenue area.

It is reported:

– police arrived on scene and man was found in a tow truck suffering from gun shot wounds

– the man was pronounced deceased at the scene

He has been identified as Hashim Kinani, 23, of Toronto.
