Calgary, Alberta – Charges have been laid against the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run and we are now releasing pictures of a third vehicle that is linked to the investigation.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2020, a 2010 Dodge Journey, traveling at a high rate of speed on southbound 52 Street, close to the interchange with 16 Avenue N.E., was struck from behind by a 2008 Buick Allure.

The Dodge Journey crossed over the centre median and one male occupant was ejected from the vehicle. Ibaad YAR, 15, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Buick remained on scene for a short time before fleeing. Later in the day, it was located unoccupied in the Saddleridge area.
Udham SANDHU, 37, the driver of the Buick, has been charged with second degree murder and dangerous driving causing death. His next court appearance is Thursday, June 4, 2020.
The second person taken into custody yesterday has been released without charges.
Investigators still need to speak with a number of people who were in a Chevrolet Tahoe observed at a residence in the Saddleridge area, prior to and after the offence. The Tahoe is believed to be a 2015-2020 model, dark in colour, with alloy wheels.
