Two Londoners Facing Charges After Cocaine and Cash Seized; “558 grams of cocaine, value $55,800”

London, Ontario – Two Londoners are facing charges after more than $55,000 worth of cocaine and approximately $70,000 in cash was seized.

On Thursday, June 4, 2020, as a result of an ongoing investigation, members of the London Police Service Street Gang Unit with the assistance of members of the Guns and Drugs Section, executed a search warrants on a vehicle and at a residence on Upper Canada Crossing.

The following items were seized:

• 558 grams of cocaine, value $55,800;

• Approximately $70,000 in cash

As a result of the investigation, two individuals are facing Criminal Code of Canada and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges.

Shivan S. Sulevani, 25, of London:

• Traffic in a Schedule I substance;

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking; and

• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

Adnan Jamil Chahbar, 35, of London:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance.

D/Sgt. Ryan Scrivens stated, “This was an example of great teamwork amongst involved investigators and the two accused were arrested without incident.”

Sulevani is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges, while Chahbar was released from custody and has an upcoming court date of August 28, 2020.
