Parkland RCMP: police presence in Alberta Beach area in Parkland County – UPDATED

Parkland County, Alberta – The Parkland RCMP have resolved the public safety matter in Parkland County near Alberta Beach. Police are clearing from the area.

There are no further public safety issues.

No further updates will be provided.

BACKGROUND

Parkland County, Alberta – (5:00 PM) Parkland RCMP would like to advise the public that there is a heavy police presence in the area of Alberta Beach in Parkland County between the southeast corner of Township Road 542 and Range Road 40.

Parkland RCMP are asking that the public please avoid the area and refrain from posting photos and/or video on social media.

It is not believed the public is in danger at this time. Residents of the area have been notified and are sheltering in place at this time.
